Do you control your TIME?
Or does TIME control you?
When I was a busy executive, raising three children, I always felt like a pinball in a pinball machine.
I survived on caffeine, adrenaline, and an unhealthy dose of anxiety.
I had an awesome life (big career, beautiful home, husband, three kids, and various pets).
And yet, I never felt like I could enjoy my life.
I was too busy surviving it.
I went to bed at night with a racing mind,
And I would wake up exhausted every morning.
I kept telling myself that I didn’t have enough time.
I just needed more of it.
I came to learn that time was not my problem.
My THOUGHTS about TIME were my problem.
I saw myself as a victim of my own circumstance… even if it was a circumstance that I created myself.
I made myself crazy by piling on things and being a martyr (aka perfectionist) to get everything done ASAP.
I did not create time for space.
I thought stillness was a waste of time.
When I learned to change my thinking about time,
I became more efficient at work.
I started making more time for fun… and having more fun.
I stopped wasting time worrying about what I could not control.
In return, I got a greater sense of control.
Would you like to take control back in your life and start having more fun?
Happy Wednesday!
