I am an empath.
That’s the good and bad news.
The good part of being an empath is that I am very attuned to how people are feeling…. sometimes even before they even say a word.
The bad news is that before I knew I had this skill set, I was taking on everyone else’s stress, worries, and pain.
I was like a human sponge absorbing other people’s problems, and feeling like I needed to solve everything.
Being an empath can be a superpower. Empaths tend to have great intuition and compassion, and people are drawn to them.
But if not managed correctly, being an empath can easily lead to overwhelm and a feeling of being unwell. Physically, emotionally and mentally.
Do you find yourself easily taking on others’ stress, emotions, or physical ailments?
Do large crowds overwhelm you?
Do you frequently feel anxious?
Do arguments make you feel nervous or ill?
Do you need time to recover after spending time with difficult people?
If you answered yes to these questions, there is a good chance you might be an empath too.
On today’s episode of The OverThinker’s Guide To Joy podcast, I talk about how to function as an empath without suffering the emotional and physical drain. You can listen here or wherever you get your podcasts.
If you are tired of taking on the stress of others, I can help you. You can schedule a free consultation with me here or send me a direct message.
Happy Wednesday!
