Do you Self-Sabotage?
-Over-Eating.
-Over-Spending.
-Over-Drinking.
Or perhaps you…
-Missing important deadlines.
-Picking fights with loved ones for no reason.
-Endlessly procrastinating.
One of the most common forms of Self-Sabotage is so subtle that we don’t even realize the damage it’s actually doing.
What is that subtle saboteur? Negative Self-Talk. Thinking or saying negative statements about ourselves.
“I am too old.”
“I am not attractive enough.”
“I am not smart enough.”
“I am not lucky enough.”
Even when things are going well, there can be hidden thoughts about NOT deserving our OWN success. Big and little wins are often dismissed by subtle words of Self-Sabotage.
In this week’s episode of “The OverThinker’s Guide To Joy” podcast, I talk about how Improv Comedy teaches us a great lesson with ways to avoid sabotaging your own “act.” You can listen here or wherever you get your podcasts.
