I could tell you that I procrastinate at times because my dog requires a lot of love and attention, but we both know that would be an excuse.
(Although he is kind of adorable and distracting, right?)
But here’s a little secret:
EVERYONE struggles with procrastination on some level.
Whether you are a “habitual procrastinator” or a “situational procrastinator,”
Procrastination is fear-based.
The thoughts associated with it are often,
“I don’t have time.”
“I don’t know how to do it.”
“It will be boring.”
“It will be hard.”
“I might do it wrong.”
“I might fail.”
In today’s episode of The Overthinker’s Guide to Joy podcast, I will discuss the reasons for and offer practical tips for overcoming procrastination. You can listen here or wherever you get your podcasts.
Happy Wednesday!
