Feeling Off? Me Too.

April 16, 2025

Lately, I’ve been noticing a certain malaise in the air. A general funk.

Everyone I’ve talked to—friends, clients, even myself—has been feeling off. Maybe it’s the aftermath of Tax Day. Or the post-Spring Break slump. Or Venus in retrograde (which, for the record, I don’t fully understand—but it sounds like a solid excuse).

Whatever the reason, there’s a shared sense of “meh” going around. And honestly, who can blame us? The world feels heavy sometimes. Between political tension, natural disasters, and personal challenges (financial, emotional, physical—you name it), it’s no wonder so many of us are treading emotional water.

One client shared that after four promising job opportunities fell through, she retreated inward—literally and emotionally. No gym, no walks, just stuck. But she knows that she always feels better after a workout, and I can so relate to this.

When I’m cranky or anxious or just having too many bad hair days in a row, I want to hibernate. But when I get outside and move—whether that’s golf, tennis, or pickleball—I come back to life.

Yesterday, I was in one of those moods. But after a long talk with one of my daughters and a lighthearted game of pickleball with friends, I felt like a new person.

So, if you’re feeling a little blah, try this:

✨ Move your body—just a walk around the block can help.
✨ Call someone who loves you.
✨ Do the thing you know makes you feel better, even if you don’t feel like it.

We all get in a funk, but we don’t have to live there.

Sometimes, it just takes a fresh perspective, a small shift, or a good conversation to feel like yourself again. But if you have been stuck for a while now, let’s talk about how coaching might help.

Happy Wednesday!
