Feeling Stressed?

June 18, 2025

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about stress—not just the obvious kind that hits you like a freight train, but the low-grade, ever-present kind that hums in the background of modern life.

Stress is part of being human, but many of us are carrying more than our systems were designed to handle.

Environmental stress. Emotional stress. Decision fatigue. Sensory overload. You name it.

When I work with clients, stress management is often at the core of what we’re really doing—whether we’re talking about work/life balance, better boundaries, or finding more energy and clarity.

My personal tools for calming my nervous system are the same ones I teach:

-Meditation.
-Journaling.
-A diet that keeps blood sugar balanced.
-Movement. (Yes, even a short walk counts.)
-And most of all… Mindset.

But this week, I explored something new. On the latest episode of The Overthinker’s Guide to Joy, I sit down with herbalist Tasha Rose to talk about plant medicine as a tool for easing stress and supporting the nervous system.

I was fascinated by Tasha’s gentle, grounded approach. We discussed the various types of stress, how plants can be supportive, and why many people are seeking more natural options to improve their well-being.

If you’re curious—or just looking for one more way to feel a little calmer—I invite you to give it a listen.

You can listen to the episode here or wherever you get your podcasts.

Here’s to finding your calm, whatever path you take to get there.

Warmly,
Jackie
