You’ve cleaned your desk.
You’ve purged your closet.
You’ve organized the junk drawer.
Nothing like a good decluttering session. But here’s a question:
When was the last time you cleared your emotional energy?
I’m not talking about abandoning a friend in crisis.
I’m talking about the relationships you maintain out of habit.
The ones that feel heavy.
The ones that leave you drained.
The ones that create tension, drama, or subtle resentment.
The one who complains nonstop.
The one who gossips.
The one who thrives on chaos.
At one point, the relationship worked. You shared something, but something changed.
Chances are, you evolved. And sometimes we forget that relationships can evolve, too.
Not every connection is meant to last forever. Some were built for a previous version of you.
If you consistently leave time with someone feeling depleted, anxious, or irritated… that’s important data.
Choosing distance doesn’t make you cold. It makes you conscious.
Space creates room for healthier, more aligned connections.
Space protects your peace.
Space honors who you’re becoming.
Who in your life lifts you up?
And who consistently weighs you down?
You get to choose where your energy goes.
If you’re feeling stuck, drained, or unclear about what (or who) is weighing you down, this is exactly the kind of work we do in coaching.
Reply to this email or book a discovery call. You don’t have to carry what’s heavy alone.
Have a great day!
