What If You Had a Magic Wand?

June 24, 2026

If you had a magic wand, what three things would you change about your life right now?

It sounds like a simple question.

Almost playful.

And yet, I’m always fascinated by how often people struggle to answer it.

The response I hear most often?

“I don’t know.”

A therapist friend once said something that has stayed with me:

“I don’t know” often means “I don’t want to say.”

Not because we don’t have dreams.

But because saying what we REALLY want out loud can feel vulnerable.

What if I say what I want and it doesn’t happen?

What if someone judges me?

What if I finally acknowledge a dream and then I fail?

Sometimes we think that if we don’t say it aloud, we don’t have to risk disappointment.

So we keep saying yes when we want to say no.

We keep putting others first.

We keep waiting for the “right time.”

We convince ourselves that what we want is unrealistic, selfish, or too far away.

Sometimes the biggest obstacle isn’t the dream itself.

It’s giving ourselves permission to want something.

This is where coaching can sometimes feel a little magical.

Not because someone else gives you the answers.

But having someone sit with you, ask the right questions, and create space for what you truly want can help you uncover the answers that were already there.

I’m currently offering individual coaching sessions for people who want space to explore what’s next, reconnect with what they want, and figure out their next steps.

Have a great day!
