I woke up to a monster of a To-Do list today.
Well, technically, I woke up to soft slobbery kisses from my dog who was eager to have breakfast.
But AFTER that, it was my To-Do list that smacked me in the face.
I felt a heaviness in my body, and I just wanted to go back to sleep.
My mind started racing:
How will I get everything done today?
What if I forget something?
What if I mess something up?
When we feel overwhelmed, our minds ALWAYS go to the worst-case scenario.
But when you are in a hurry to get things done, and you don’t know where to start, the BEST thing to do is SLOW DOWN. Take a few minutes and ask yourself:
“What is the most important thing I would like to accomplish today?”
It might be a project that you need to start.
Or a project that you need to finish.
Or perhaps it is a FEELING that you would like to manifest.
For me, today I wanted to feel a sense of calm as I navigate through my busy day.
So when I sat down for my morning meditation, I focused on that intention.
If I am calm, I will be better able to prioritize my list, and less likely to forget something important.
Setting an intention is a good daily habit for setting yourself up for success.
Not just today, but EVERY day.
