Lately, I’ve been in a bit of a blah space.
Not burned out. Not unhappy. Not even ungrateful. Just… in-between.
The high of a joyful long weekend in NYC with my girls has worn off. The summer energy hasn’t quite landed. Mercury’s not even in retrograde—and yet, every piece of tech I touched last week glitched.
Maybe you’re feeling it too? That weird, floaty pause where you’re waiting for something to click or change. The next idea to percolate. The next door to open. The next yes to arrive.
I used to think inspiration had to be loud. That momentum meant I was doing it “right.” But I’m learning that this season—the quiet, uncertain, low-energy one—has its own wisdom. A lull isn’t laziness. It’s a reset.
Some of my clients are waiting right now as well. For jobs. For clarity. For timing to line up. And what I tell them is what I’m reminding myself:
Waiting isn’t wasted time.
It’s when small, sacred things start to take root:
- Cleaning your inbox.
- Taking a nap without guilt.
- Saying yes to a walk.
- Saying no to doom scrolling.
So if you’re in a blah space, don’t panic. You’re not broken. You’re just human. Your nervous system is catching up. Your next wave of energy will arrive when it’s ready.
In the meantime: Stay open. Stay kind. Stay curious… even about your own blah.
You’ve got this, and more good stuff is coming!
