Mindfulness with Mark Feuerstein

May 22, 2024

In 2009, a lot of big things were happening in my life.

I was moving to Maui with my family to work remotely while continuing my role as a television executive for the USA Network.

This was eleven years BEFORE the pandemic, and it was unprecedented for people in Hollywood to telecommute, so it was quite the gamble at the time.

In addition to my big move, our network was about to launch another new summer series called Royal Pains, starring Mark Feuerstein. This series became a huge hit for the network and ran for eight seasons.

Right before my move and the launch of the series, Mark and I had lunch and became fast friends. It wasn’t your normal business lunch; we talked about life and death, work and family, and everything that makes us human.

Shortly after I moved into my new home, Mark sent me a life-changing book, sparking my mindfulness journey. This was one of the many things that led me to become a coach ten years later.

In today’s episode of The OverThinkers’ Guide to Joy podcast, I had the pleasure of interviewing Mark to catch up and thank him again for that book.

Whether you are already a fan of Mark’s work and the Royal Pains series or just want to hear someone passionate about life, television, meditation, and mindfulness, this is a MUST-LISTEN!

You can listen to the episode here or wherever you get your podcasts.

Happy Wednesday!

xo, Jackie
