This morning, I went for an early walk around my neighborhood with a friend. Just as we started down the road, it began to drizzle. My first thought was, “Darn, why didn’t I bring my rain jacket?”
But I decided to just go with it. It wasn’t heavy rain, nor was it particularly cold. Just wet. My glasses were covered in raindrops and got fogged up, but we kept walking and talking.
Halfway through our walk, the drizzle stopped and the sun came out. And of course, my next thought was, “I should’ve brought my sunglasses… and worn sunscreen!”
The perfectionist in me couldn’t help but think about how I should have been more prepared.
But as we turned a corner, we saw it — a stunning rainbow stretched across the sky, and we stopped to take it in.
And that’s when it hit me. For the first half of the walk, I was concerned about the rain. For the second half, I was worrying about the sun. I was so caught up in managing the elements that I almost missed the beauty unfolding right before me.
Isn’t that just like life?
We can’t always prepare for every season. Some days feel cold and uncertain, others bright and sometimes overwhelming. Yet, each day carries us closer to something meaningful — our own “rainbow moment.”
So if you’re in a season that feels uncertain or uncomfortable… keep walking. The rainbows will come.
However, if you’re in a “rainy” season right now and still waiting for YOUR rainbow (a shift, a breakthrough, or a sense of clarity), I’d love to help you find it.

Wishing you a fantastic day!
