The entertainment industry is smack-dab in the middle of award season, and like most people, one of my favorite parts of tuning in is the acceptance speeches.
While the Oscars speeches tend to be the most memorable, this year, an Emmy Awards acceptance speech was so brave and brilliant that it inspired this episode. Niecy Nash-Betts has almost 100 acting credits, but it was her first time winning an Emmy for Best Supporting Actress in a Dramatic Series, and her speech was nothing short of show-stopping.
Join me this week to hear why I believe Niecy Nash-Betts’ speech is a reminder we all need, and the power of consistently thanking ourselves for showing up to do the hard, mundane work while clinging to the hope and belief that everything we want is possible.
